Special surprise

 

Today we went to the Lakes Shopping Mall to do a Christmas Scavenger Hunt. And as we wandered around we spotted a special surprise! Santa Claus was there visiting people! It was VERY exciting!

 We had a lovely day walking around the Mount today. The sun was shining and we found a quiet spot to have our lunch. DG

Had a good morning out at Welcome Bay Community Centre. We made some yummy soup and when we were waiting for the soup to boil, we helped clean the kitchen. Hard work today.

 Today we went out to the new cafe at the historic village and got fluffies! It was lovely to sit in the nice chairs and enjoy the ambiance. The fluffies were yum!

Music on Friday was one of the best EVER! We made a band and performed covers to the best songs!

I chose to play the guitar.

We wrote words today and added them together to make a fun story. I really enjoyed this and can't wait to make more fun stories in the future

The cargo shed.

  Today I went to the cargo shed to see the Climate Canvas exhibition. 

There were art works from 10 local finalists,  including our, Dee. She joined us for out outing today and was excited to show us her art. We talked about climate action and how Arohanui does this every day. I looked at boats in the harbor too. 

Sailing out on the harbour on the Varra

 

A beautiful sunny day out on the harbour on the yacht Varra. Bruce our skipper and Dave sailed us out to Matakana Island, by the Mount and back into the Marina. We all had a turn steering the yacht being the skipper. A great start to our sailability sessions. DG
