Community inclusion

 

What a busy Friday! We had a great time chatting at the historic village and organizing to go over once an month to help them set up their gallery exhibitions. Afterwards we went to the Welcome Bay Community Center to clean up the cabbage tree leaves around the picnic tables and picked up 4 buckets of rubbish. It was a brilliant productive day. 

I was a great rubbish picker and really enjoyed the playground when we were finished

Today I played Dominoes in Numeracy session. It felt good to win a round of dominoes! WD

Back at I-Dance with Donna!! It was so exciting to see everyone and dance our hearts out!

Back to work

 

I had so much fun helping out at the Welcome Bay Community Centre. I take a lot of pride and care when handling the clothes. I strive to do a very good job!

Matapihi bridge Walk

 

  I had a lovely walk today over the Matapihi bridge. It started to spit rain so we decided to head to Memorial Park for lunch. After lunch we had another good walk around the outer edge of the park. Great company and good exercise. DG

Literacy/Numeracy

 

I had fun spelling words with scrabble letters. EB

Gardening CI

 

We did an awesome job today weeding this vegetables garden. We started by pulling the weeds from the pathways and then after lunch we looked in each garden bed and looked under each plant for clover with it round leaves, or grass to pull out.

Dance!

Dance was at the centre today and we had a total blast! Danced to some favorites. Did some freestyle and boogied all our energy out!

Volunteering at the community

 

First day back at the Welcome Bay Community Centre and this time I got to help fold clothes. I clued on real quick and got so good at making nice piles.

Mount Hot Pools

 A great way to spend the day. Relaxing at the Mount Pools. DG

Gym up

 Eased back into the swing of things at the gym. Worked on setting some new goals.

What a great first day back at Arohanui. Went for a nice walk at Kulim Park.
